Badminton
We participated in the school’s county badminton competition this week. Our three teams, u/16 girls, u/16 boys and u/19 boys played in the Division 2 competition. The standard of badminton was very high and the teams played very competitively.
Our u/16 girls’ team won all their matches and will now represent Clare in the Munster Competition in January.
Our u/16 boys team played very well but were unlucky on the day and unsuccessful in progressing further in the competition.
Our u/19 boys’ team were runners ups in the competition. They played excellently in their matches but unfortunately lost out on first place. They received 2nd place medals.
Both our Division 1 boys’ team (Seán, Colin, Ferdéa and Jack) and our Division 2 girls’ teams (Katie, Dajana, Lillian and Emma) will represent the county and St.Flannan’s College in the Munster competition in January. Wishing them all the best of luck in this competition.
