St Flannans- Clare Junior A Camogie Champions!!!
A massive congratulations to our Junior A camogie panel, who claimed the Clare Junior A Clare Colleges Final after defeating Scariff Community College on a scoreline of 2-8 to 1-10 this past Friday. In doing so, they became the first Flannans side to win the A title in over 10 years.
In a nip and tuck battle, the sides entered the half time break deadlocked at 1-4 a piece. In a half that saw some magificent camogie, this scoreline was a good reflection on how the game was going at that point. In the second half, a better balanced Flannans side got the crucial goal and, despite some nervy moments, were able to see the game out.
The girls now turn their attentions to their upcoming Munster final vs Bandon after the Easter break. Well done to all involved on a magnificent achievement.
