St Flannan’s Triumph in Thrilling Quarter-Final
St Flannan’s College 1st year Gaelic football team secured a hard-fought victory over Presentation College Athenry in a thrilling contest, finishing 7-9 to 7-5.
The game began at a blistering pace, with St Flannan’s racing into an early lead of 3-1 to 0-1. However, Presentation College Athenry showed great resilience, working their way back into the match. At halftime, St Flannan’s held a narrow advantage, leading 4-3 to 2-4.
The second half was a tense affair, with the teams drawing level twice as both sides battled for supremacy. In the closing stages, St Flannan’s found an extra gear, edging ahead to claim a well-earned 7-9 to 7-5 victory.
