Stepping into Shakespeare
Last November, our Leaving Certs had the opportunity to experience King Lear at the Dean Crowe Theatre, Athlone. Performed by the Gaeity School of Acting, this well known tragedy was brought to life. The follow on Q&A session gave our students a greater understanding of the play’s key themes and characters.
Our Junior Cycle students did not miss out! They recently experienced The Merchant of Venice live. This time, The Gaeity School of Acting took a different approach. Students got to look at key scenes while also learning about the important role a director plays. This interactive performance provided a great experience for our students.
